ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! My name is Deborah Martinez, but everyone knows me as Debbie. I am originally from San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico... beach town where I grew up and worked hard to maintain the intense tan that characterizes me ;). I have always been an energetic girl, so sports were a natural fit for me.  I started with ballet when I was a little girl, but Karate was more entertaining, so I migrated there. Then, I definitely found my zen at the tennis court, and I never left.

Those were just my beginnings as an athlete. Then, I explored different sports like golf and basketball. I ended up being part of the team that won the National Youth Olympics in basketball when I was 14yrs old and then the runner-up team the following year. At the same time, I was a prodigy in golf and decided to start my career as an elite golf player. I trained non-stop on the course and outside of it... I ended up playing varsity for an American university and doing a good job at national and international tournaments. It was fun.

You can imagine that I had to focus on my health, being strength and conditioning, injury prevention and nutrition to maintain a level of fitness good enough to do one or many sports at the elite level. I am 29 yrs old today, and I have trained religiously with different basketball coaches, tennis pros, golf pros, yoga instructors, pilates instructors, and strength and conditioning coaches since I was very little.

Now, I understand a lot of things about fitness, health and body motion, and I am ready to share them with you. I want to help people achieve their fitness goals while maintaining their balance.

Here we go!!!
